Director of Admissions

Director of Admissions Full-Time | Skilled Nursing Facility About the Role We are seeking an experienced Director of Admissions to lead the admissions process at our skilled nursing facility. This is a key leadership role responsible for managing customer flow, referral development, census growth, and the overall admissions experience from inquiry through post-admission. Responsibilities Manage all aspects of the admissions process including referral management, inquiry response, tours, and admission sign-in Conduct clinical referral review to assess appropriateness of incoming referrals Develop and maintain relationships with hospital discharge planners, social workers, utilization review nurses, and physicians Drive census growth by achieving QMix and Average Daily Census (ADC) goals Coordinate and participate in community sales and outreach presentations Monitor and analyze performance statistics including pending/lost inquiries, denials, and customer flow Ensure complete and accurate documentation in the admissions system Work closely with the interdisciplinary team and administration to support smooth admissions, discharges, and transfers Respond promptly to all inquiries via phone, fax, walk-in, and referral channels Ensure a high-quality, compassionate experience for all residents and families Requirements Minimum 3 years of Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience — required Prior Admissions Director experience a strong plus but not required Strong knowledge of payor sources, insurance, and long-term care reimbursement Excellent communication, relationship management, and sales skills Ability to conduct clinical referral reviews Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with PCC a plus Flexible availability to accommodate admissions needs What We Offer Competitive compensation Supportive leadership team Opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a growing facility We are an equal opportunity employer.
