Job Description

JOB JOB GOALS
To assist in the establishment, maintenance and safety of our school culture, surveillance and control over the non-instructional activities inside and outside the building, ensuring that all students are successful and contributing members of the school community.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Monitor/supervise daily arrival and dismissal activities, including directing on-campus traffic.

Maintain security of the building site.

Monitor student behavior in corridors/stairwells, lavatories, and cafeteria as assigned.

Assist in intervening and de-escalating student altercations as appropriately trained.

Help to maintain a safe learning environment by assisting students in following appropriate procedures and rules. Provide varied levels of supports and interventions depending on individual student needs. Provide appropriate academic interventions as needed.

Create mentoring relationships with students and help them to strive for and find academic success.

Be a liaison between students, teachers, administrators, parents, and visitors in the building.

Assist with In School Suspension (ISS) placement and escorting these students for special services.

Perform other related duties as assigned.
MARGINAL
FUNCTIONSMonitor/Supervise activities that may be planned by school personnel.

Assist in maintaining student accounting records as needed.

Must be willing to engage in ongoing professional development, including but not limited to - Equity, Restorative Practices, CPI, PBIS trainings.

Principal/Assistant Principal or Designee.

EVALUATION
For new employees, evaluations will be performed according to the current collective bargaining agreement. For transferring employees, evaluations will be done at 30 days. All regular employees will be evaluated at least yearly.
