Job Description

Position Summary Hope Villages of America seeks a highly organized, detail-oriented Development Coordinator to support fundraising, donor engagement, special events, and development operations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the success of fundraising initiatives through excellent project management, donor stewardship, database administration, and cross-departmental collaboration. The ideal candidate is an exceptional communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys managing multiple priorities, and understands the importance of building strong relationships with donors, volunteers, and community partners. Essential Responsibilities Donor & Database Management Maintain accurate donor, volunteer, and constituent records within the organization's CRM/database. Process gifts, pledges, recurring donations, and acknowledgments in a timely and accurate manner. Generate donor reports, mailing lists, fundraising metrics, and campaign analytics. Ensure data integrity and adherence to donor confidentiality standards. Assist with donor prospect research and relationship tracking. Fundraising & Development Support Coordinate fundraising campaigns, donor appeals, sponsorship efforts, and stewardship activities. Assist with grant tracking, reporting deadlines, and supporting documentation. Prepare donor correspondence, thank-you letters, and recognition materials. Support cultivation and stewardship strategies for individual, corporate, and foundation donors. Track campaign progress and assist in meeting fundraising goals. Event Coordination Support planning and execution of fundraising events, donor receptions, volunteer activities, and community engagement opportunities. Manage event registration, sponsorship fulfillment, guest communications, and logistics. Coordinate event timelines, materials, and volunteer assignments. Assist with post-event reporting, donor follow-up, and data entry. Administrative & Communications Support Provide administrative support to the Development team. Coordinate calendars, meetings, donor visits, and follow-up communications. Draft and proofread development-related communications and marketing materials. Serve as a professional ambassador for Hope Villages of America with donors, sponsors, volunteers, and community stakeholders. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, business administration, or a related field preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience in fundraising, development, nonprofit administration, customer relationship management, or related experience. Experience working with CRM or donor database systems. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously. Preferred Experience with donor management platforms such as Raiser's Edge NXT, Bloomerang, DonorPerfect, or similar CRM systems. Experience supporting fundraising events and donor stewardship activities. Knowledge of nonprofit fundraising best practices.
