Description The Kentucky Department of Education is a premier service agency of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The department provides resources and guidance to Kentucky's public schools and districts as they implement the state's K-12 education requirements. The department also serves as the state liaison for federal education requirements and funding opportunities. Our mission is to partner with districts, schools, families, students, business and industry, and communities to provide leadership and support to ensure success for each and every student. The department seeks to hire a smart, experienced, hardworking and dependable Education Administration Program Consultant II to join our dedicated team. We seek persons of the highest moral character who understand it is a privilege to represent the Kentucky Department of Education and work on behalf of Kentucky's children. This role represents a great opportunity to work in a dynamic, challenging and professional environment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Under limited supervision, provide consultative services and technical assistance to local public-school districts in the development, coordination, implementation of federal education programs. Gain and maintain knowledge of various parts of the Elementary and Secondary Education act, specifically but not limited to Title III, Part A & Title I, Part A. Provide ongoing technical assistance to local educational agencies along with other state and private educational agencies in interpreting federal and state educational laws, regulations & policies. Review and approve program applications and other reports. Collect and analyze program data for federal and state reporting. Participate in program trainings and annual federal program onsite consolidated monitoring. Collaborate with education partners within and outside the organization on various projects and initiatives. Perform other duties as required.

Applicants currently under contract with a local school district are required to provide a written release from their superintendent prior to an offer of employment is given. In accordance with

the applicant selected for this position will become a member of the Teachers' Retirement System. Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION
Graduate of a college or university with a master's degree in education or a related field.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS
Three years of professional experience in education, career and technical education, or a related field. Substitute

Current Rank II or Rank I certification by the Department of Education or Education Professional Standards Board will substitute for the required educational requirement.
