Work Flexibility:
Onsite The Associate Medical Education Manager plays a key role in creating and delivering impactful educational programs that support healthcare professionals, strengthen customer relationships, and advance the Trauma & Extremities business. This position is responsible for the strategy, planning, coordination, and execution of customer-facing medical education initiatives that enhance product knowledge, clinical expertise, and engagement across the orthopedic trauma community. This position requires the selected candidate to be on-site in Mahwah, NJ.
What you will do:
Lead the full lifecycle planning and execution of national medical education programs, including cadaveric labs, surgeon education events, workshops, professional education meetings, and large-scale educational events. Manage all aspects of program and event execution from strategic kickoff and planning through onsite leadership, attendee experience management, and post-program reconciliation. Responsible for developing and managing customer-facing educational strategy. Collaborate with key stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact educational events and programs. Negotiate with third-party vendors, venues, hotels, travel providers, and event partners to maximize value and cost savings. Coordinate program design, educational objectives, and event logistics with faculty and key stakeholders. Ensure all educational content, presentations, and meeting materials are reviewed and approved through established Compliance and Legal processes prior to program execution. Manage national education program budgets, event budgets, expense tracking, forecasting, invoice processing, and financial reconciliation activities. Coordinate complex travel, lodging, venue, catering, transportation, and onsite logistics for surgeon faculty, healthcare professionals, and internal commercial teams in partnership with approved travel agencies and vendors. Plan and execute multiple concurrent national meetings, training programs, workshops, conferences, and educational events while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and stakeholder satisfaction. Develop a network of key opinion leaders (KOLs) to support platform offerings and assist in developing communication strategies for target customer audiences. Collaborate with key opinion leaders to design, plan, and facilitate educational events that elevate the brand within the orthopedic community. Demonstrate technical expertise to facilitate HCP medical education programs, including agenda development, speaker coordination, content management, and onsite event leadership. Recommend and implement plans for medical education commercialization, voice-of-customer initiatives, and onsite educational programs. Develop key relationships with industry thought leaders, customer organizations, institutions, and event stakeholders in collaboration with marketing leaders. Engage with thought leaders across the industry to continuously enhance and expand educational offerings as Orthopedic Trauma evolves. Lead the creation of Medical Education programs and events that align with strategic plans and business objectives. Collaborate with marketing leaders to support business priorities and new product launches. Develop metrics to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs, events, delivery methods, costs, attendee engagement, and outcomes. Engage key stakeholders to ensure appropriate educational program utilization and successful event outcomes. Define performance criteria used for evaluating business trends, program effectiveness, event success, and organizational impact. Prepare and review charts, graphs, tables, and other business performance tools for quarterly and annual leadership presentations. Maintain awareness of emerging trends in medical education, adult learning, event management, and instructional design, and adjust programs accordingly. Manage current educational resources and develop new tools, platforms, and event experiences for product training programs and workshops to enhance educational quality and engagement. Partner with marketing communications to leverage social media, third-party applications, email campaigns, and other channels to promote educational programs and events. Preferred experience includes large-scale event planning, conference management, meeting planning, travel logistics and planning, faculty engagement, venue selection, contract negotiation, attendee management, and execution of complex national educational events.

MBA preferred Medical device, Medical Education, Pharma or relevant experience preferred Preferred experience in event planning, conference management, hospitality, meeting planning, corporate events, trade shows, customer engagement programs, or large-scale educational events. Experience planning and executing complex, high-touch events involving travel logistics, venue management, vendor coordination, budget management, attendee experience, and onsite event leadership is strongly preferred. US20: $107,200 - $178,600
USD Annual Travel Percentage:

These roles could have travel expectations, and you must work within the country of the job requisition location. Field-based - You can expect to regularly work a majority to 100% of time at customer facilities and has a set territory or expectation to travel within a set boundary. Almost all sales roles would likely be qualified as field-based. Onsite - Role is 100% located at a Stryker facility. Some ad hoc flexibility may be available depending on role, level, and job requirements. Manufacturing roles and any role that requires physical presence at the office would qualify under this category. Hybrid - You can expect to regularly work in both an alternate workplace and a Stryker facility. Roles that are partially remote or co-located would qualify as hybrid, and the expectation to be onsite would be defined and agreed upon by your manager/supervisor.
