  • $87,391 per year, USCA Development The Development Officer for Corporate and Foundation Relations leads USCA's efforts to secure philanthropic support from established and new corporate and foundation partners through strategic relationship development, proposal coordination, donor engagement, and the solicitation of major gifts aligned with university priorities and fundraising goals.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Demonstrated ability to represent the university in a highly professional and effective manner. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, including comfort with proactive outreach, donor engagement, sponsorship discussions and philanthropic solicitation strategies. Ability to identify partner needs, challenges and opportunities, and present solutions aligned with university priorities.
Minimum requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a job related field and 2 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree and 3 or more years experience. Knowledge of Blackbaud CRM database preferred. University fundraising experience strongly preferred.

Job Duties Job Duty Lead the execution of USC Aiken's overall strategy for philanthropic revenue attainment from corporate and foundation partners. Identify, cultivate, manage relationships and solicit major gifts from corporate and foundation prospects and donors. Conduct outreach, coordinate meetings and support solicitation strategies that generate philanthropic support aligned with university priorities. Meet or exceed annual fundraising goals, which will be determined by the Vice Chancellor. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 35 Job Duty Research funding opportunities and coordinate the preparation, solicitation of funding and follow-up reporting of grant proposals and sponsorship requests. Collaborate with faculty, staff and leadership to develop compelling and competitive proposals. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 25 Job Duty Serve as an active representative of USCA with corporate, foundation and community partners. Maintain regular external engagement through major gift solicitation, donor meetings, presentations, events and stewardship activities that strengthen institutional relationships and visibility. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 20 Job Duty Coordinate stewardship activities, impact reporting and donor communications for corporate and foundation partners. Work collaboratively with Development, Alumni Affairs, campus departments, and USC system partners to ensure timely follow-up and strong partner experiences. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 10 Job Duty Maintain accurate records of donor interactions, proposals, deadlines and funding outcomes within the CRM system. Monitor progress toward annual performance metrics and prepare reports that support strategic fundraising efforts and decision-making. Other duties as assigned by the Vice Chancellor for Development and Alumni Affairs.
