POSITION OVERVIEW
Lake Area Technical College (LATC) is seeking a dynamic, experienced professional focused on strong student outcomes for the Dean of Student Services. The Dean of Student Services is a key leader on campus, responsible for overseeing and enhancing a comprehensive range of student-centered programs and services that contribute to the academic success, personal development, and overall well-being of LATC's student population.
QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor's degree in higher education, education administration, student services, student affairs, or a similar field is a plus. Minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership experience. Experience in student services or related areas in higher education a plus. Strong understanding of operational planning, student development, policy, budget management, resource allocation, counseling practices, campus life, and needs assessments. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills. Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team of professionals. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and administration. Ability to manage and organize multiple projects and subject matter. Ability to effectively communicate ideas and information, in written and oral format, to students, staff, colleagues, and the general public in large or small group settings. Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations pertaining to student services in higher education. Innovative approach with an ability to adapt to changing student needs and trends. Perform other duties as assigned.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead student service teams, including the Dual Credit Coordinator and Marketing team, to deliver a seamless student experience from recruitment through career placement. Provide overall direction for admissions, registration, recruiting, counseling, career services, retention, financial aid, student life, and marketing. Collaborate with campus leadership to align student services with institutional mission, goals, and values. Oversee delivery of academic advising, career counseling, and related support services. Develop and implement programs that promote student retention, persistence, and success. Create and support co-curricular and extracurricular opportunities (clubs, organizations, activities). Foster a vibrant, inclusive campus community that encourages engagement and involvement. Ensure equitable access to resources and opportunities for all students. Plan and coordinate graduation, campus visits, admissions events, camps, orientation, and special events. Organize staff meetings and institutional events. Oversee development of student-focused print and digital communications. Develop processes to identify and address academic, personal, and social challenges. Coordinate interventions, referrals, and crisis response for students in need. Partner with academic departments to support student success and progression. Build relationships with external organizations to expand student opportunities and services. Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations related to student services. Develop and implement policies aligned with legal requirements and best practices. Manage, interpret, and analyze student services data to inform strategy and improve outcomes. Develop and manage the Student Services budget. Ensure effective resource allocation and fiscal responsibility.
WAGE RANGE
$90,000.00 to $105,000.00 TERMS
OF EMPLOYMENT
12-month administrator contract with compensation set by the Watertown School Board.
