About Jesuit Dallas Jesuit Dallas was founded in 1942 as a Catholic, private, independent, all-boys high school under the direction of the Society of Jesus. Following the Jesuit tradition of St. Ignatius of Loyola, Jesuit strives to form young men into leaders who are well-rounded academically, emotionally, spiritually, and socially. Jesuit Dallas Director of College Counseling Jesuit Dallas is seeking a qualified and visionary educator who is dedicated to leading the school community through the highly competitive college admissions process in a faith based, mission centered environment. Successful candidates will possess a passion for forming adolescents, engaging in life-long learning, and collaborating with peers, students, and their families in the pursuit of the school's mission.
Responsibilities:
Form and educate young men to be open to growth, intellectually competent, loving, religious, committed to working for justice and physically fit Collaborate with the Guidance Counselors to evaluate, innovate, and implement a comprehensive four-year college admissions curriculum Build and maintain relationships with colleges, universities, and professional organizations to ensure an informed college admissions curriculum Collaborate with the faculty to assist in the college admissions process Provide assistance and guidance to our families in navigating the college application, financial aid, and scholarship process Oversee the standardized test prep and coordination of test administration, including the PSAT and AP exams Participate in all departmental and school-wide faculty formation Engage in on-going professional development Participate in student-centered co-curricular, extra-curricular, service, and/or retreat opportunities Qualifications Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree from an accredited university preferred Highly effective communicator who is personable, engaging, and skilled at building positive relationships in both individual and group settings Minimum of three years experience working with college admissions in a secondary or post-secondary setting Physical Requirements and Work Environment Works in a fast-paced environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines, and a diverse array of contacts May work at a desk and computer for an extended period of time Occasionally lift up to 30 pounds Jesuit Dallas Mission Statement Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas offers young men an excellent, Catholic education in the classical Jesuit tradition with the purpose of forming a community of men with high moral principles and service to others.
