The Opportunity:
As the Associate Director for Student Accommodations and Disability Resources (SADR) , you provide direct services to students with disabilities, supervise Access Advisors and American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreters, support the daily operations of the Student Accommodations and Disability Services office, and help advance the First-Year Experience for Students with Disabilities program. You are responsible for upholding departmental and university policies and procedures, as well as complying with state and federal rules, regulations, and laws, including Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and 2008.Additional Information:
This is a full time (100% FTE), permanent position. Overtime eligibility will be determined based on final salary placement.Monthly Salary:

Positions require a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and four (4) years of progressively responsible relevant experience, which has included at least one (1) year of managerial experience. A Master's degree in a related field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of the required experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year‐for‐year basis. Education and experience can be tailored to fit the specific organizational entity/directorial assignment. Positions may require applicable licensure and/or certification. Experience providing academic advising and academic adjustments/accommodations to students with disabilities, OR equivalent education/experience. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills. Strong computer skills to include working with databases, spreadsheets and word processing.Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in a relevant field (Higher Education, Student Affairs, Counseling, Social Work, Rehabilitation Counseling). One-two years direct experience serving students with disabilities in higher education. Knowledge and understanding of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, the ADA and other pertinent federal and state laws that provide for an accessible higher education experience for disabled students. Knowledge of universal design and assistive technologies for people with disabilities. Knowledge of student development and student affairs theory. Sensitivity and competency in working with a diverse population. Ability to effectively work as a member of a team and to work collaboratively with others.
