Admissions Director (Inst) (B)Position Summary:
The Department of Admissions and Recruitment at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville is accepting applications for the position of Director of Admissions and Recruitment . The Director is a senior leadership position responsible for providing strategic direction and operational oversight for undergraduate and transfer admissions and recruitment. This position leads the planning, development, implementation, and assessment of comprehensive recruitment strategies designed to meet institutional enrollment goals and advance student access, diversity, and success. The Director exercises independent judgment, serves as a liaison to central admissions, supervises professional and support staff, manages budgetary and operational resources, and collaborates extensively with campus partners to ensure alignment with the University's strategic enrollment plan and priorities. This is a full-time, benefit and paid leave eligible position, with a salary of $98,000 per year.Key Job Responsibilities:
Strategic Recruitment & Enrollment Planning Develop and implement annual admissions and recruitment goals and inclusive outreach plans aligned with institutional enrollment targets. Use enrollment data, market analysis, and pipeline metrics to inform recruitment strategy and provide input into the University's Strategic Enrollment Plan. Evaluate recruitment effectiveness and recommend adjustments to improve yield, access, and market position. Admissions Operations & Policy Oversight Oversee undergraduate and transfer admissions operations, including application review, admission decisions, residency determinations, and academic credit evaluation. Ensure compliance with Universities of Wisconsin, state, and federal regulations related to admissions and recruitment. Support direct admission initiatives and transfer pathways, as applicable. Recruitment & Outreach Oversee on- and off-campus recruitment activities designed to provide a positive, student-centered experience while maximizing enrollment yield.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree higher education, leadership, business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated supervisory and personnel management experience, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and coaching. Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in admissions, recruitment, or enrollment management. Experience developing and implementing recruitment or enrollment strategies. Demonstrated ability to analyze data and use metrics to inform decision-making. Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to travel and work a varied schedule with flexible hours including some weekend and evenings Experience with data interpretation and reporting Valid Driver's license and ability to operate a motorized vehicle Why It's Great to be aPioneer:
