Along with instructional duties, this position has oversight of program accreditation. The proportion of instructional to coordination responsibilities is subject to change from year to year based on program needs. Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities (include, but not limited to)ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Align curriculum to departmental, accreditation, state, and/or other applicable standards and outcomes. Plan, deliver and facilitate student learning, including providing ongoing quality feedback to students. Assess student attainment of learning outcomes and critical life skills (both formative and summative), at the course, program, and college level. Collect, report, analyze, and use data to support continuous improvement at the course, program and college level. Use technology to facilitate student learning, college processes, and personal productivity. Participate as a productive member of a team. Maintain college learning resources and equipment. Participate in recruitment and retention activities. Lead program level coordination to ensure continuous compliance with Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) Standards. Coordinate curriculum, assessment, faculty, and clinical operations to align with CODA requirements. Collaborate with faculty, staff, administration, and external partners to sustain accreditation readiness. Pursue ongoing professional development, maintain occupational competency, and ensure knowledge of current laws and regulations related to the profession(s) in which instruction is provided. Minimum QualificationsREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Demonstrated working knowledge of programmatic discipline, curriculum development, effective teaching/learning principles, and evaluation Effective interpersonal communication skills - oral, written, active listening, and non-verbal cues Strong customer service skills which includes working with individuals from diverse backgrounds Ability to manage time, organize work and meet deadlines Ability to effectively integrate technology into instructional delivery and assessment Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with internal (staff, management, personnel) and external contacts (employers, clients, and vendors) Ability to apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to work and/or the improvement of processes and/or systems Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and/or with minimal supervision Ability to prioritize work and adapt to changing priorities Intermediate level of proficiency with computer software applications such as word processing, database, spreadsheet, and presentation programs. Knowledge of and familiarity with video-conferencing and technologies associated with adult-centric teaching and learning, as well as within specific programmatic disciplines, which may include web technologies, operating systems, online program tracking platforms, social media platforms, mobile technology tools, and/or AV/multimedia applications and equipment.EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Per the Commission on Dental Accreditation standards the Dental Hygiene Coordinator must possess a Master's degree. Intermediate PC skills to include clinic software, Dentrix, and Cliniview. Three (3) years clinical experience as a practicing Registered Dental Hygienist. Registered Dental Hygiene license. Certification in nitrous oxide, lasers, CPR, and local anesthesia. Attain and maintain a WTCS teaching certificate. Supplemental Information The Instructor - Dental Hygiene position supports the School of Health and is available to start by June 1st, 2026. This is a full-time instructor position on a flexible year-round calendar. Teaching assignments include variable hours, including days, evenings, and/or weekends.
