JOB DESCRIPTION
Academic Interventionist Qualifications :
Current Alabama Teacher's Certification, Master's Degree or higher; endorsement in Administration preferred Three years of successful teaching experience in a certified position Experience in school-level planning and intervention strategies Demonstrated success in mobilizing resources and motivating teachers to increase student achievement
Essential Duties:
Collaborate with teachers and other service providers to ensure that appropriate interventions are provided in classrooms (RtI Facilitator) Participate in universal screening activities and assist with the analysis of the data to identify students in need of response to intervention services Use identified scientific, research-based interventions focused specifically on individual student difficulties Maintain records of interventions and progress monitoring to ensure process fidelity Maintain data-based documentation of continuous monitoring of student performance and progress during interventions Attend team/parent meetings as required; provide input to teams regarding student academic strengths and weaknesses Attend required professional development Provide instructional support in small groups Provide best practices to improve classroom instruction and school culture Promote family involvement in education through partnerships between the schools, parents, other organizations, agencies, parent centers, and community-based family partners Provide information, training, and support for families and educators Design and follow-up on plans necessary for improvement Act as a liaison for students and school personnel
