We are seeking a dedicated and passionate High School Social StudiesTeacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering a positive learning environment, engaging students in the curriculum, and supporting their academic and personal growth. This role requires a commitment to excellence in teaching and the ability to adapt to the diverse needs of high school students. We are actively interviewing highly qualified and Arizona secondary-certified teachers in the area of Social Studies. Duties Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state standards and cater to various learning styles. Utilize effective classroom management techniques to create a safe and productive learning environment. Assess student progress through standardized testing and other evaluation methods, providing constructive feedback. Support students with special education needs by adapting instructional materials and strategies accordingly. Engage in literacy education initiatives to enhance reading and writing skills across the curriculum. Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to a cohesive educational approach. Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and behavior management. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and methodologies. Experience and preferred qualifications Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card (required) Valid secondary certification (preferred) Proven experience working with high school students in an educational setting is preferred. Familiarity with special education practices and the ability to accommodate diverse learning needs. Strong skills in classroom management, behavior management, and literacy education are essential. Experience with standardized testing processes and the ability to analyze results for instructional improvement is advantageous. Excellent proofreading skills for reviewing instructional materials and student assignments. Experience and proficiency using instructional technology including computers, interactive whiteboards (SMART boards preferred), Microsoft Office Suite and other basic office equipment. Advanced skills in working with staff and students with diverse needs at various levels.
