Job Description

The Elementary School Teacher is responsible for creating a faith-filled, academically rigorous, and nurturing classroom environment that supports the spiritual, intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development of students. The teacher integrates Catholic values and teachings throughout the curriculum, models Christian behavior, and actively participates in the mission of the school. Responsibilities include planning and delivering standards-based instruction, assessing student progress, maintaining positive communication with families, managing classroom behavior, collaborating with colleagues, and supporting the religious formation of students through prayer, liturgy, and service opportunities. The teacher promotes a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment where every child is valued as a child of God. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Education or related field required. Knowledge of elementary curriculum, instructional strategies, and student assessment practices. Ability to integrate faith and Catholic values into daily instruction and classroom activities. Strong classroom management and organizational skills. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to establish positive relationships with students, parents, faculty, and parish community members. Proficiency with educational technology and learning management systems. Commitment to professional growth and continuous improvement. Successful completion of background check and all diocesan/safe environment requirements. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a faith-centered educational team. Wage Range The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
