Length of Work Year Flexible after-school hours, year-round Employment Type Part Time Job Summary Job Summary Our English/History teacher is retiring after 15+ years at EEC. We are seeking an experienced English teacher/tutor to work with middle and high school students in a structured, in-person setting.
Responsibilities:
  • Teach English Language Arts (reading, writing, comprehension, and analysis)
  • The capability to teach history would be a strong plus
  • Support creative and academic writing
  • Assist with AP English (preferred)
  • Work with students in 1:1 and small group sessions
  • Help students improve standardized test scores.
Materials will be provided by
EEC Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from a US university in English, Literature, History, Education, or a related field, with a strong background in academic writing
  • English teaching or tutoring experience will be a plus
  • Strong high school English background
  • AP experience a plus
  • Master's degree and/or classroom teaching experience are a plus
  • Retired teachers welcome

Part-time:
10-20 hours/week
Schedule:
During the school year, teachers may select preferred time slots within our operating hours:
Monday-Thursday:
4:00-8:30
PM Saturday:
9:00 AM-5:00 PM During summer break, weekday hours are available:
Monday-Friday:
9:00 AM-5:00 PM Weekend opportunities may also be available. Flexible scheduling available.
