Length of Work Year Flexible after-school hours, year-round Employment Type Part Time Job Summary Job Summary Our English/History teacher is retiring after 15+ years at EEC. We are seeking an experienced English teacher/tutor to work with middle and high school students in a structured, in-person setting.
Responsibilities:
- Teach English Language Arts (reading, writing, comprehension, and analysis)
- The capability to teach history would be a strong plus
- Support creative and academic writing
- Assist with AP English (preferred)
- Work with students in 1:1 and small group sessions
- Help students improve standardized test scores.
EEC Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from a US university in English, Literature, History, Education, or a related field, with a strong background in academic writing
- English teaching or tutoring experience will be a plus
- Strong high school English background
- AP experience a plus
- Master's degree and/or classroom teaching experience are a plus
