Position Overview We are seeking a scholarly, passionate, and devoted educator to join our faculty as a Dual Credit History Instructor . This role is designed for an individual who possesses a deep mastery of historical narrative and a steadfast commitment to the Christian faith. As a Dual Credit instructor, you will bridge the gap between secondary and higher education, providing students with rigorous academic preparation while mentoring them in a biblical worldview. The Nature of God:
Belief in the one true God, eternally existing in three Persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.The Authority of Scripture:
Recognition of the 66 books of the Bible as the inspired, inerrant, and plenary Word of God.The Person of Christ:
Affirmation of the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, atoning death, bodily resurrection, and literal future return. Salvation byGrace:
Belief that salvation is wholly of God, by grace through faith, based solely on the merit of Christ's work and not human performance.Eternal Destinies:
Affirmation of the bodily resurrection of both the saved (unto eternal life) and the unsaved (unto eternal punishment).Ecclesiology:
Recognition of the Church as the spiritual body of Christ, established at Pentecost and awaiting the rapture.Key Responsibilities Instructional Excellence:
Teach college-level history courses (e.g., US History, Western Civilization) to high school students, ensuring all curriculum meets the standards of our partnering collegiate institution.Integration of Faith and Learning:
Approach historical inquiry through the lens of a biblical worldview, acknowledging God's sovereignty over human events.Curriculum Development:
Design syllabi, lectures, and assessments that challenge students to think critically, write persuasively, and engage with primary sources.Student Mentorship:
Act as a spiritual mentor and role model, guiding students in their personal walk with Christ and helping them navigate the complexities of history and culture.Administrative Collaboration:
Maintain accurate grading records and coordinate with the College Provost or Department Chair to ensure dual-credit compliance. Qualifications & Skills Education Master's Degree in History (or a Master's with at least 18 graduate hours in History) is required for dual-credit accreditation. Experience Prior experience teaching at the high school or collegiate level is preferred. Communication Strong public speaking skills and the ability to simplify complex historical concepts.
