HLCS is operated by Dominion Educational Services, LLC. Members of our faculty carefully lead students into an understanding of each subject and are able to maintain quiet, orderly, and disciplined classrooms. Latin:

First Form Latin (Grade 5 and lower grade students who have completed Latina Christiana ) .

English Grammar & Composition:

English Grammar Recitation

II & III

Classical Composition:

Fable & Narrative .

Literature:

Deep reading of classics including The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe , Heidi , Lassie Come-Home , The Door in the Wall , Adam of the Road , Robin Hood , and King Arthur .

Mathematics:

Rod & Staff Math (Grades 4 & 5).

Christian Studies:

Christian Studies

II & III

Classical Studies:

Famous Men of Rome and Famous Men of the Middle Ages .

Science:

The Book of Insects , The Book of Birds , and Exploring the History of Medicine .

Geography:

Middle East, North Africa, and Europe (Grade 4); Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia, Oceania, and The Americas (Grade 5). Hiring Requirements Prior classical teaching experience is preferred, though not required. A background check is required for employment.
