26-27 School Year Lewis-Palmer Elementary is looking for a 6th grade teacher that will teach math, science and/or social studies for the 2026-2027 school year. The classroom teacher provides learning experiences for elementary students which follow the District 38 Student Learning Model as well as creating an environment favorable to learning and personal growth in accordance with each student's ability. Candidates will demonstrate excellent classroom management strategies that emphasize problem-solving, respect, responsibility, and positive relationships between teacher and students while promoting parent participation in education activities provided for their children. The ideal candidate will bring a positive attitude, a willingness to be a team player, as well as strong collaboration and communication skills. We value educators who work well with colleagues and partner closely with families to support student success. Candidates must have, or be eligible to receive, a current Colorado teaching license. The first day for teachers new to our district is July 31, 2026. Exact placement on the pay schedule will be determined by the Director of Human Resources upon contracting. As a guideline, we offer up to 18 years of previous contractual teaching experience for a placement of Step 19, per school board policy. This pay range is based on education and experience levels with a range of $44,550 - $75,279. The current teacher pay schedule can be found on our website. Full-time employees, employed at least thirty hours per week, of Lewis-Palmer School District are eligible for health insurance plans that include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. Paid leave is accrued in accordance with District policies and afforded to all persons in accordance with Colorado law.
