Tamim Academy is a part of the national Tamim Academies network, dedicated to transforming Jewish elementary education across North America. Inspired by Chabad, guided by forward-thinking educators, and enriched by community, Tamim prepares students for purposeful lives by fostering a strong self-concept, a love of learning, and deep-rooted Jewish values. Our classrooms are hands-on, learner-centered, and built on strong relationships. Students feel known, valued, and supported as they grow academically and personally. Teachers work under the direction and supervision of the Head of School. Full-time and part-time positions are available. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and able to provide appropriate documentation upon hire. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management strategies, fostering a respectful and inclusive environment. Support students' social-emotional development by mentoring and providing guidance, especially for children with special education needs or autism spectrum disorders. Conduct assessments, including standardized testing preparation and progress monitoring, to evaluate student achievement and inform instructional practices. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and coordinate early intervention strategies. Incorporate library services and resources into lessons to promote literacy education and foster a love of reading among students. Requirements Proven classroom experience in general studies or Judaic studies teaching roles with strong classroom management skills. Demonstrated ability to develop engaging curricula through curriculum development expertise and lesson planning skills. Knowledge of teaching physical education, early childhood education, Montessori methods or special education practices is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills for working with students, parents, colleagues, and administrative staff effectively. Familiarity with learning technology platforms, standardized testing procedures, tutoring techniques, and behavior management strategies. Experience working with children with diverse needs including autism spectrum disorder or those requiring early intervention services. Prior private school experience or background in childhood development is advantageous.
