This role is ideal for an educator who can support both foundational skill-building and AP-level rigor in a warm, structured classroom environment.
Position Details Courses:
AP U.S. History (10th-11th Grade) and 9thGrade World History Schedule:
Two back-to-back morning sections, Monday-Friday, sometime between 9:00 AM and 12:00PM Start Date:

June 2027Format:
100% in-person Responsibilities Teach AP U.S. History and 9th Grade World History aligned with course standards Prepare AP U.S. History students for the AP exam through instruction in historical thinking, essay writing, DBQs, and document analysis Help 9th grade students build foundational skills in historical understanding, writing, and analysis Attend the one-week College Board AP Summer Institute for AP U.S. History training Administer and grade assessments throughout the year Create a classroom that is both warm and structured, with clear routines and expectations Communicate clearly, directly, and warmly with students and parents Attend three faculty meetings during the school yearQualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree Prior experience teaching high school history Strong classroom management skills Ability to build positive relationships with studentsPreferred:
Prior experience teaching AP-level history Experience teaching both foundational and advanced high school students Familiarity with instructional technology and digital classroom tools Support & Environment Highly supportive administration Warm, collegial faculty culture Positive school environment focused on both academic rigor and student well-beingCompensation Salary:
