The ideal candidate will foster critical thinking, cultural awareness, and civic engagement among students through a dynamic and inclusive curriculum. This full-time position requires a commitment to creating an engaging classroom environment that encourages students to explore historical events, social structures, and global issues. Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with state standards and district curriculum.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback to support growth.

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Studies, History, or a related field.
  • Valid teaching certification for grades 9-12 in Social Studies or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of social studies content, including history, geography, civics, and economics.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment that supports diverse student needs.
  • Experience with classroom management and effective teaching strategies.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology and digital resources.
  • Commitment to professional growth and collaboration with colleagues.
  • Previous teaching experience at the high school level is preferred but not required.
