Qualifications Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with High School Social Science Endorsement Must have attended AVID Summer Institute within the last three years AVID Elective Teacher Training preferred Application Deadline This position will remain posted until the hiring process is complete; however, interviews may be conducted after May 18, 2026, so interested applicants should submit their materials ASAP to ensure consideration. Important Notes This position is for the District's College & Career Readiness Summer Transition Program, which will be located at Centennial High School. This program runs Monday, June 29, 2026 - Thursday, July 2, 2026. Student Contact Hours will take be from 8:30 a.m.-1:10 p.m. Staff will be expected to be on duty (an will be paid) from 7:45 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Initial required training (paid) will be Friday, June 26, 2026 from 2:00 p.m.-3:00p.m. Teachers will be paid at the rate of $40.00/hour for actual hours worked. Please note that classes will only run if enrollment requirements are met, regardless of whether a position has been offered.
