Lower School Arts Teacher Join the vibrant and diverse community at The International School of Indiana, where educators from around the world collaborate to foster a dynamic learning environment. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lower School Arts Teacher to inspire young learners and support their creative development within our multicultural setting. Reporting to the Lower School Principal, the successful candidate will work closely with faculty and staff to nurture students' personal and academic growth through engaging arts education.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Developing engaging Art lessons for students in Early Years through Grade 5. Collaborating with grade level teachers to ensure transdisciplinary learning is taking place on units of inquiry. Displaying, sharing and celebrating student success in the arts. Deliver lessons that are developmentally appropriate and differentiated when needed. Willing to work with a team and take lead roles in assemblies and end of unit celebrations. Assessing and giving feedback on student growth and development including semesterly report writing. Keeping the work space organized, safe and accessible for all students. Preparing and submitting material orders in a timely manner Connect with community members / organize field trips to further enhance student learning in the arts Take part in training to meet program requirements and develop skills Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities Communicate with parents in a positive and timely manner At The International School of Indiana, we value diversity, innovation, and a commitment to excellence. Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field Minimum of 2 Years of professional experience Excellent organizational, problem solving, and time management skills Strong written and oral communication skills
Desirable Qualifications:
STEM/STEAM
experience in planning and delivering lessons to students. Experience in diverse multilingual environments Experience or knowledge of the IB Primary Years Programme
