The High School Social Studies Teacher empowers students to understand the past, engage thoughtfully in the present, and lead responsibly in the future. Through the study of history, government, economics, geography, and culture, students develop the knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary to become informed citizens and future-ready leaders prepared for employment, enlistment, enrollment, and active participation in a democratic society. Plan and deliver standards-based instruction aligned to state and district curriculum requirements. Develop lessons that encourage inquiry, analysis, discussion, and evidence-based reasoning. Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners. 1. Holds bachelor's degree and required Kentucky Department of Education certification for assigned position. 2. Proven ability to work effectively with students. 3. Proven ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and faculty
