OF POSITION
The College of Agriculture Department of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness at Louisiana State university seeks applicants for a 9-month Instructor position. Responsibilities will be comprised of 100% teaching. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and teaching of eight undergraduate courses per year covering a range of topics within the field of agricultural economics and agribusiness. Potential courses assigned to the successful candidate would include introduction to agricultural economics, agribusiness management, agribusiness sales, commodity and food marketing, futures and options trading, agricultural finance, farm and rural land appraisal, and related subject areas. The successful candidate may have future opportunities to assist with undergraduate student advising and recruiting, assist with the undergraduate internship program, and provide leadership in student activities, clubs and organizations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum requirements include a Master's degree in Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness, Economics, or related field. Previous undergraduate teaching experience is preferred.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
Salary commensurate with training, experience, and ability. Insurance, medical and related fringe benefits are available as part of the benefits package.
