Social Studies - LTS (5/31/26 - 6/18/26) Grafton, MA Job Details Full-time $298 a day 7 hours ago Qualifications Student performance assessment strategies Behavioral standards enforcement in schools Learning technology Special education Mid-level Working with high schoolers Curriculum implementation Lesson planning School policy and procedure enforcement IEP implementation Collaborative teaching Teaching social studies K-12 education instructional development Full Job Description Position is responsible for instructing secondary school students in social studies and creating a safe and orderly learning environment.
Effectively collaborate with colleagues on curriculum, lesson and assessment design as well as achieving departmental goals.
Utilize best practices for assessing student progress toward achievement of standard.
Develop lessons with clear and measurable outcomes. Use of a wide variety of teaching techniques to support student learning.
Design and demonstrate differentiated instruction to meet the needs of all students.
Implement accommodations and curricular modifications as specified in educational plans (IEPs) and as needed to meet the learning needs of students.
Use a variety of formal and informal assessments to accurately measure student progress toward and to modify further instruction.
Use technology to support student learning in and out of the classroom.
Participate actively in faculty, department and team meetings.
Set professional development goals, develop professional development plans, and participate in professional development activities that improve teaching practiceCommunicate effectively with all stakeholders.
Enforce all school policies and rules governing students.
Candidates must:
Have knowledge of current Massachusetts Frameworks expectations for Reading and Writing across the curriculum.Effectively collaborate with colleagues on curriculum, lesson and assessment design as well as achieving departmental goals.
