Part-time ELA/Social Studies Parochial Teacher

Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive English Language Arts (ELA) and Social Studies curricula aligned with educational standards and tailored to diverse student needs. Design engaging lesson plans that incorporate creative writing, literacy education, and critical thinking exercises. Utilize learning technology and instructional design techniques to enhance classroom instruction and student engagement. Provide individualized tutoring and support for students requiring additional assistance in reading, writing, or language skills. Apply effective classroom management strategies to foster a positive learning environment conducive to active participation. Conduct assessments, standardized testing preparation, and ongoing evaluations to monitor student progress and inform instruction. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, research initiatives, and educational best practices to continually improve teaching effectiveness. Qualifications Proven experience in classroom management and teaching within a parochial or private school setting. Strong knowledge of literacy education, curriculum development, and instructional design principles. Background in journalism, creative writing, or linguistics is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to mentor students and work effectively with diverse learners across different grade levels. Excellent communication skills coupled with organizational skills necessary for lesson planning and classroom coordination. Experience with learning technology tools, standardized testing procedures, and special education accommodations is preferred.
