Social Studies Teacher - High School

WISE Academy is seeking a full-time High School Social Studies Teacher to help students strengthen their skills in civics, history, government, and critical thinking. The ideal candidate will bring strong instruction, clear classroom structure, and a genuine commitment to student growth. We require a professional, modest, and respectful presence that reflects the culture and Islamic values at WISE Academy. Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with state standards and student needs. Teach history, economics, civic concepts, research, and critical analysis. Support students in developing refined, purposeful written communication. Use varied instructional strategies and assessments to promote student learning. Maintain classroom behavior expectations and strong student engagement. Monitor student progress and provide feedback and support as needed. Collaborate with colleagues and communicate with students and parents. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required. Minimum 3 years of Social Studies teaching experience at the secondary level. Strong classroom management skills. Strong communication, organization, and professionalism. Commitment to positive school culture Preferred Bachelor's degree in Education, History, Political Science, or a related field. AP training/certification preferred. Experience with AP, honors, or college-preparatory Social Studies instruction.

Pay:

$25.00 - $50.00 per hour
