Highly Qualified Candidate:
Social Studies Teacher Passion for history, civics, and geography with the ability to connect past and present Strong emphasis on reading comprehension and writing in a social studies context Uses student-centered strategies, like debates, document-based questions (DBQs), and project-based learning Encourages critical thinking and multiple perspectives Integrates social studies content with literacy and research skills
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in education or related field (Master's preferred) Valid Michigan teaching certification or the ability to obtain one Previous classroom experience at the middle school level strongly preferred Demonstrated commitment to student achievement, equity, and growth Excellent classroom management and communication skills
Salary Range:
Starting pay 50,000.00 ( negotiable) Pay increases based on experience.

School Year Retirement :
401K with 4% and another 4% matching by the school
