Kearsley Community Schools The Position Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university and a Michigan Teaching Certificate with at least one of the following endorsements: History (CC) or (RC) or Geography (CB) or (RB) Social Studies
  • Secondary (RX) Social Science (CX) or (CQ) Political Science (CD) may be considered The qualified candidate will use creative instructional strategies along with best practices for classroom teaching which promotes interactive learning and student engagement through technology, literature, and writing.
The candidate must be adept with technology and ready to consider emergent techniques to enhance student achievement.
Candidates will also:
Aide in research, development, implementation, and evaluation of the Social Studies curriculum; Develop and implement creative and engaging lesson plans; Incorporate practical application of content knowledge in lesson plans; Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of each learner; Develop and implement progressive classroom-based interventions; Utilize progress monitoring; Monitor and evaluate student development and growth through a variety of assessments; Maintain accurate student classroom records; Interest/experience in student extracurricular activities; Willing to participate in a variety of extra-curricular and co-curricular activities including staff development; Willing to work as part of the building team for the improvement of instruction; Must have the ability and willingness to work effectively with parents and staff.
