Job Description

Are you a middle school or high school religion teacher interested in care for and education of the whole student? A Jesuit Catholic school rooted in the tradition of cura personalis —care for the whole person—seeks a dynamic and mission-driven Religion teacher to join our faculty. This position is designed primarily for 9th grade theology, so educators with middle school or high school experience are welcome applicants. CRJHS serves a student body that is 98% Latino/Latina/Latine or Black. We believe student success is strengthened when educators bring diverse lived experiences, cultural competence, and a commitment to representation in the classroom, which also aligns with our Catholic mission and values. Educators from backgrounds historically underrepresented in teaching and those committed to culturally responsive instruction are strongly encouraged to apply. We are looking for an educator who is passionate about accompanying young people in their intellectual, spiritual, and moral development. The ideal candidate will be committed to Jesuit education's hallmark values—academic excellence, faith that does justice, and reflection leading to action—and can effectively engage students from diverse backgrounds in meaningful exploration of Catholic theology, Scripture, and ethical inquiry.
