Job Description

26-Sep-2025 to Until Filled (CST) School of Business Jefferson City, MO, USA Master's degree $983 per credit hour. Doctoral degree $1,083 per credit hour.
Salary Part Time PURPOSE:
This is a Non-Tenure Track Adjunct position in the School of Business. Primary expectations include teaching undergraduate and graduate Economics courses (as assigned) both in face-to-face and online formats in the School of Business.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Ability to plan and prepare course content and curriculum, utilizing assessment and effective methodologies of instruction for the enhancement of learning aligned with ACBSP standards. Collaborate with other faculty members for the development, implementation and evaluation of the curriculum. Provide appropriate classroom and online instruction for students enrolled in business course(s). Maintain expertise in the field of study and teaching pedagogy by attending seminars, workshops and classes for self-improvement and/or professional enhancement. Desired discipline-specific teaching with a demonstrated record of teaching effectiveness. Show commitment to the philosophy and outcomes of the School of Business. Maintain professional development activities. Maintain positive relationships within the University and in the larger community.

QUALIFICATIONS
Previous teaching experience preferred. Knowledge and skills related to teaching students in class and online. Exceptional interest in teaching economics and providing mentorship to undergraduate and graduate students. Teaching experience in methodology, curriculum development, evaluation or willingness to plan for acquisition of these skills no later than the first year of teaching. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Personal Characteristics:
The ability to teach in a diverse population of students.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
Minimum master's degree in economics or a business-related discipline from a regionally accredited institution. A satisfactory criminal background check. Please include an unofficial transcript of graduate-level education and a Curriculum Vitae/Resume.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Light sedentary office work. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
