Middle School Religion and Social Studies

Job Summary Holy Redeemer Catholic School seeks a faith‑filled and dedicated Middle School Religion and Social Studies Teacher to educate and inspire students academically, spiritually, and morally. This position is responsible for delivering engaging instruction aligned with Catholic teachings, diocesan curriculum standards, and best educational practices while fostering a classroom environment that reflects the mission and values of the Catholic Church.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Teach Middle School Religion and Social Studies courses using diocesan and school‑approved curricula
Integrate Catholic faith and Gospel values across instruction and daily interactions
Prepare lesson plans, assessments, and instructional materials aligned to curriculum standards
Differentiate instruction to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of diverse learners
Assess student progress regularly and maintain accurate grades and records
Foster a respectful, structured, and Christ‑centered classroom environment
Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to support student success
Communicate effectively and professionally with families regarding student progress and expectations
Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, retreats, and school events
Support school‑wide initiatives, Catholic identity, and stewardship of the school community
Maintain a safe and nurturing environment consistent with school and diocesan policies Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education, Theology, History, Social Studies, or a related field (required)
Valid state teaching certification or eligibility preferred
Practicing Catholic in good standing preferred
Knowledge of Catholic doctrine and willingness to teach and model the faith
Experience teaching middle school students preferred
Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
