Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree Current North Carolina teaching license Prior teaching experience is preferred, but not requiredSkills, Duties, and Responsibilities:
Knows and understands NC State Standard Course of Study to develop proficient and effective lesson plans for grade level/subject areas. Establishes a safe and orderly environment and a culture to empower students Manage various classroom behaviors and try to minimize disruptions to learning Participate in MTSS process and procedures at TMSA to provide equitable and valuable education for all students Demonstrate leadership behaviors from the Leader In Me program that TMSA implements schoolwide Works collaboratively with school personnel to create a professional learning community Develops goals and strategies through the school improvement plan Open to constructive feedback from lead teachers, coaches, and administrators Ability to differentiate instruction according to student's needs Collaborates with colleagues to mentor and support teachers to improve the effectiveness of department or grade level Appreciates differences and values contributions of each student by building positive, appropriate relationships Regularly assess students, both formative and summative.
