Meredith College is seeking an adjunct instructor for Economics courses at the undergraduate level for the fall semester (August through December 2026).
Duties:
The Meredith College School of Business is seeking an adjunct instructor for two sections of ECO-100 Principles of Macroeconomics (one in-person, one online asynchronous). The ECO-100 course is a core requirement for the Economics and Business Administration majors. The course covers the fundamentals of economic analysis on a national level with an emphasis on the interconnected global economy.
Topics include:
economic growth, the business cycle, unemployment, the price system, monetary and fiscal policy, international trade and finance, and the impact of international events and policies on the domestic economy.
Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in Economics from an accredited institution (preferred) OR Masters in Economics from an accredited institution OR at least 30 graduate credit hours completed for students who are in graduate study in Economics from an accredited institution.
  • Proven track record of effective teaching preferred.
  • Demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication skills.
  • Live in the state of North Carolina and available to teach face-to-face on-campus.
