Full-Time Private school in Northern New Jersey seeks an enthusiastic, creative, and student-centered Lower School General Studies Teacher to join our faculty for the 2026-2027 school year. The successful candidate will foster a nurturing classroom environment while inspiring academic curiosity, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning. The teacher will be responsible for delivering an engaging elementary curriculum in language arts, mathematics, social studies, and related content areas, while supporting the social and emotional growth of each student. Responsibilities Plan and deliver differentiated instruction in core academic subjects Create a warm, inclusive, and supportive classroom culture Assess student progress and communicate regularly with families Collaborate with grade-level colleagues, specialists, and administrators Integrate technology and innovative instructional practices into teaching Support students' academic, social, and emotional development Participate actively in school events, faculty meetings, and professional development opportunities Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess: A bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (master's degree preferred) Successful experience teaching in elementary school settings A strong record of instructional excellence and student achievement Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills A growth mindset and commitment to lifelong learning The ability to inspire students while maintaining high academic expectations Current and former public-school teachers are strongly encouraged to apply.
