Job Description

Religious School Teacher (2nd Grade - Sundays) Monmouth Reform Temple, a warm and welcoming Reform synagogue in Tinton Falls, NJ, is seeking an engaging and creative educator to join our Religious School faculty for the 2026-2027 school year. We are looking for a 2nd Grade teacher for our Sunday program: Sundays 9:30 AM-12:00 PM At MRT, we strive to make Judaism meaningful, relevant, and joyful for our students and their families. We are seeking someone who is enthusiastic, collaborative, professional, and sensitive to the needs of a diverse school community.
Responsibilities:
Create and lead engaging, age-appropriate lessons Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment Help students build meaningful connections to Jewish life, traditions, and community Communicate effectively with families and school leadership Collaborate with fellow faculty members
Qualifications:
Experience working with children in educational or youth settings Strong classroom presence and interpersonal skills Creativity, flexibility, and warmth Hebrew knowledge is a plus, Teaching certification is welcomed but not required
