Skills Strong knowledge of social studies curriculum development across grades 6-9 with familiarity in standardized testing preparation. Excellent communication skills for effective instruction, student engagement, and collaboration with staff and families. Proven classroom management skills that foster a positive learning environment conducive to academic success. Expertise in instructional design, lesson planning, and integrating learning technology tools into daily lessons. Experience working with diverse student populations, including those requiring special education accommodations or behavior management support. Demonstrated ability to mentor students academically and personally while promoting literacy education through creative writing and research activities. Familiarity with AP style writing standards, Chicago Manual of Style guidelines, proofreading techniques, and journalistic practices such as journalism fundamentals. Background in higher education teaching or private school experience is preferred but not required; a passion for continuous learning is essential.
