POSITION TITLE

Social Studies Grades 9-12 Summer School Teacher (positions filled contingent on enrollment)

BASIC FUNCTION

Duties include providing differentiated, direct instruction and remediation for high school Social Studies core classes that could possibly lead to a Regent's program.

QUALIFICATIONS

A. NYS certification in Social Studies 9-12. B. Certification in Global and U.S. History preferred. C. Experience teaching summer school a plus. The selected applicant will be subject to a fingerprint supported criminal history background check in accordance with SAVE Legislation effective July 1, 2001.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Curriculum instruction, supervision and evaluation of students in need of remediation. 2. Students will require content and skills that will assist them in being successful throughout their summer school experience.

SALARY:

$50.74 per hour (paid on an hourly basis)

START DATE

July 7, 2026 thru August 13, 2026 - Monday thru Thursday @ 2-4 hours each day There will be a mandatory training on Tuesday, July 7 th from 8AM to 1PM at the summer school location you will be assigned to teach . August 18, 2026 and August 19, 2026 - Regents Exam (times to be determined)
