Apply Overview Salary Range $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 Salary/year Level Experienced Position Type Full Time Job Shift Day Education Level 4 Year Degree Travel Percentage Negligible Category Education Apply Description Full-Year Maternity Leave Head Teacher. - Lower School Division St. Hilda's & St. Hugh's School is seeking an experienced, reflective, and mission-aligned educator to join our Lower School faculty as a Full-Year Maternity Leave Head Teacher. This position is ideal for a seasoned teacher who is passionate about elementary education within a structured, values-based learning environment and committed to fostering both academic excellence and community building. The successful candidate will inspire trust, confidence, and curiosity in students while cultivating a nurturing classroom community that supports intellectual, social, and emotional growth. Serving as a full-year Maternity Leave Head teacher: you will foster intellectual and social development; inspire trust, confidence, and motivation of St. Hilda's and St. Hugh's students. Manage the social environment and foster responsible, independent learners. Develop age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans for implementation within the classroom. Provide an encouraging and supportive learning environment Qualifications Skills and Characteristics Excellent communication skills in all formats including but not limited to written, spoken, in-person, and digitally. Demonstrate the ability to forge relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and the community. Consistently demonstrate organizational and technical skills. Demonstrate resourcefulness in setting priorities and working successfully with people and systems. Self-directed with the ability to work both autonomously and in the team Contributes to a positive school culture that supports students, focuses on academics, and ensures that the school achieves its mission Complete other duties as assigned by the Head of School that support instructional excellence at

Education, Experience, Skills:
Bachelors and at least 2 years of Headteacher experience. Masters preferred. Proficient in Google Office tools. Must be able to effectively communicate in person, verbally, in writing , and via e-mail.
