Job Description

Description Harcum College in Bryn Mawr, PA, a leader among the nation's independent associate degree colleges, has an opening for a knowle, passionate, and dynamic
SPORTS MANAGEMNT ADJUNCT
to join our cohort of instructors for in-person daytime courses in our Sports Management program. Instruction is needed for the following course offerings: Sports and Society, Introduction to Sports Management, Facilities Management, and Introduction to e-Sports.
Responsibilities:
  • Create an effective learning environment using pedagogical and differentiated approaches designed to engage diverse student learners and promote positive student-instructor interactions.
  • Conduct classroom activities that consistently support course learning outcomes and promote student active participation.
  • Grade student work, provide detailed and timely feedback to students, connect students to appropriate resources, and maintain accurate records of student progress.
  • Foster a safe environment that respects the diversity of individuals and ideas by modeling respect for all students and conveying confidence in every student's ability to learn.
Qualifications/Skills:
  • Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Sports Management, Marketing, or Business
  • Experience teaching with Canvas or similar education management software
  • Demonstrated ability in teaching.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to communicate with a diverse group of students and staff.
ABOUT HARCUM COLLEGE
Harcum College is an independent, coeducational, fully accredited, residential college. The College was founded in 1915 and offers associate degrees in multiple disciplines . Today, Harcum has career-informed degree programs on its Bryn Mawr Campus, west of Philadelphia, programs online, and at area Partnership Sites serving close to 1,000 students. Courses will be taught on-site at our Bryn Mawr Campus during the fall semester 2026.
