If you are a dedicated and caring social studies teacher who enjoys working with at-risk students, has excellent interpersonal skills, and relishes learning and new experiences, this position is for you! Hours for this part-time position are Monday through Friday, 11am to 3pm. Benefits include 401K retirement plan, free professional development offerings (ACT 48 Credit eligible), Employee Assistance Program, and the opportunity to receive a free graduate certificate in restorative practices from the IIRP Graduate School. Buxmont Academy has 6 campuses in southeastern PA and uses restorative practices to encourage students to grow academically and emotionally. Classes are small with a high teacher to student ratio, and our staff work together as part of an educational team for each student. Qualified social studies teaching candidates will possess a bachelor's degree or higher in social studies, history, or a similar field, and hold teaching certification (or the ability to obtain private teaching certification).
