Job Description
Social Studies Teacher (2026-2027 School Year) Gateway Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Social Studies Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year . Located in the heart of Maryland Farms in Brentwood, Tennessee , Gateway Academy is a fully accredited K-12 private school specializing in personalized, one-on-one education. Responsibilities Provide engaging one-on-one Social Studies instruction to middle and/or high school students. Develop individualized lesson plans based on each student's academic needs and goals. Teach subjects such as World History, U.S. History, Government, Economics, Geography, and other Social Studies courses as assigned. Foster a supportive and encouraging learning environment. Assess student progress and maintain accurate records. Collaborate with school leadership and families to support student success. Encourage critical thinking, historical analysis, and civic engagement. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required (Education, History, Political Science, or a related field preferred).
