Middle/High School Adventure & Bible Teacher (Part-Time) Grace Covenant Academy Frisco, TX Job Details Part-time $24,500 - $30,000 a year Qualifications Tutoring Sports coaching High school diploma or GED Bachelor's degree Classroom experience Teaching Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a passionate, Christ-centered educator to lead our Middle and High School Adventure Program while also teaching Bible courses to support a full teaching load. At Grace Covenant Academy, our teachers partner with families to cultivate students who pursue Christ, grow in character, and develop the skills to live out their God-given calling. The Adventure Program is a cornerstone of our student experience, designed to develop leadership, teamwork, and outdoor skills while pointing students to Christ through His creation. Students engage in both classroom instruction and hands-on outdoor experiences, including local and out-of-state trips. This role may also include teaching Bible classes and has the opportunity to be supplemented with coaching (basketball, volleyball, flag football, or track & field) for additional compensation.
Adventure Program Responsibilities:
Lead middle and high school students in outdoor education, leadership development, and team-building experiences Teach practical outdoor skills (ex: navigation, survival skills, climbing/canyoneering basics, trip preparation, etc.) Plan and participate in student adventure trips (Fall, Spring, and Summer) Facilitate a Christ-centered environment where students grow spiritually through creation and challenge Cultivate servant leadership, humility, and teamwork in students Bible Teaching Responsibilities (if applicable): Teach Bible classes that align with GCA's Christ-centered curriculum Help students understand and apply God's Word to daily life Disciple students spiritually and mentor them in their faith
Additional Opportunities:
Coaching athletic teams (basketball, volleyball, flag football, track & field) for additional pay Our Model Grace Covenant Academy operates under a University-Model® School , where: Teachers instruct students on campus three days per week Parents partner in education during home days Teachers focus on instruction and planning while families provide reinforcement and discipleship
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university (required) Texas teaching certification or alternative certification pathway (preferred)
Experience & Skills:
Experience in outdoor education, adventure programming, or similar field strongly preferred Ability to lead students in both classroom and outdoor environments Strong classroom management and leadership skills Ability to create engaging, hands-on learning experiences Strong communication and partnership with parents Willingness to be coached and collaborate with a team Spiritual Requirements Committed Christian with a growing relationship with Jesus Christ Active member of a local church Ability to integrate Biblical truth into all subject areas and experiences Passion for discipling students and modeling Christ in all settings Responsibilities Prepare weekly lesson plans and assessments within the GCA framework Teach and lead engaging, experiential classes Maintain grades and attendance in an online platform Partner with parents to support student success Maintain a safe, structured, and Christ-centered classroom and outdoor environment Attend staff meetings, training, and school events Model Christ, proclaim the Gospel, and invest in students relationally and spiritually
Pay:
