History Teacher Oaktree Academy Chesapeake, VA Job Details Contract From $29,500 a year 4 hours ago Benefits Employee discount Qualifications Teaching Certification Bachelor's degree Teaching Full Job Description OakTree Academy is a fully accredited 5-day private Christian school. Small school, big family atmosphere. OakTree Academy is located at 1516 Volvo Parkway, Chesapeake, VA 23320. We are growing! For the upcoming year, the 2026-2027 school year, we need History teachers. The hours are M-F 7:40 AM - 1:30 PM. Classes begin at 8:15 AM, and we dismiss students at 1:00 PM. Teachers need to be in their classrooms by 8:00 AM, and then they help us with dismissal. Classes will have (20) students or fewer. OTA's school year begins on Monday, August 31, and ends on Friday, May 28. Teachers have a full 3 months of summer vacation!
HS History Teacher:
9th grade History, 10th grade
History HS History Teacher:
8th grade History, Bible, 2 Electives (4 preps)
MS History Teacher:
6th grade History, 7th grade History, Bible (3 preps) Teachers can choose to be paid over 10 months or 12 months. Direct Deposit is twice a month on the 15th/30th. The starting salary for these positions is $29,500. Due to the limited hours, this position does not include benefits.
