Duties The incumbent:
Teacher, DoDEA Virtual School Duties:
Assists students in completing online work as appropriate. Designs and develops online lessons and assessments for publication in the Learning Management System. Creates, maintains and updates communication log for assigned students. Is available to staff, students and sponsors via phone, instant message or other synchronous communication tools. Communicates regularly with students, sponsors, staff and assigned administrators. Collaborates with other educators in required content area digital learning communities (DLCs) to exchange ideas and utilize best practices for online learning. Requirements Conditions of employment Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement. Proof of U.S. Citizenship required. Direct deposit of pay is required. Two year trial period may be required. Appointment subject to a suitability/fitness determination, as determined by a background investigation. This position requires a Tier 1 (T1) investigation with Childcare Checks since its duties require interaction with children and youth under the age of eighteen (18) years of age. You may be required to sign a transportation agreement. You will be required to sign a mobility agreement
Qualifications Who May Apply:

  • Teacher (Japanese) position. Applicant must have at least a Bachelor's Degree. 0375 Teacher (Japanese)
  • A minimum 24 semester hours of Japanese coursework or a minimum score of Intermediate High on OPI from ACTFL is required.
A minimum of 6 semester hours of theory and methodology of teaching a foreign language is required. Education
