Job Description
Red Cedar School has a full-time opening for an outdoor educator and teacher. Red Cedar is a K-8 independent school in Bristol, Vermont, founded in 1989. The school has 54 students and 6 teachers. Red Cedar is a dynamic and close-knit community with a culture of respect and inclusion.
We are looking for someone with the knowledge and experience to lead and support outdoor, nature-based, hands-on activities with our two younger groups (grades K-2 and 3-4). The position also entails supporting academic classes, leading groups and workshops, and participating all around in the daily life of the school.
On our two-acre campus our outdoor facilities include a small barn with a variety of tools and other handwork materials; a greenhouse; an apple orchard; pollinator, vegetable, and herb gardens; bird houses; a cob oven; a large sand and water play area; and other outdoor spaces.

This is a full-time position.
Starting salary is $50K+, depending on education and experience, and includes benefits.
