Walker High School and Puyallup Online Academy are seeking a dynamic, student-centered educator for abined 1.0 Social Studies teaching assignment. This unique split position includes 0.6 FTE at Walker High School and 0.4 FTE at Puyallup Online Academy, with both assignments housed at Walker High School. This position provides an exciting opportunity to support students through innovative, flexible, and engaging instructional practices across both in person and virtual learning environments. Primary courses include American History and World History, with potential opportunities to teach elective Social Studies courses. The ideal candidate will value relationship-based instruction, support individualized learning pathways, collaborate effectively with staff and families, and help students connect learning to future college, career, and life opportunities.

Washington State Social Studies endorsement required. Must be able to obtain a qualifying CTE endorsement by the 2027-2028 school year. Must be able to be endorsed in the 27-28 school year in at least one of the following

Verify 2,000 hours of non-teaching occupational experience in the Business & Marketing program area in the past 10 years.
