Job Description

St Catherine's High School is seeking a full-time Religion teacher for the 26/27 school year. This position is responsible for teaching religion courses for the high school curriculum. Being able to teach in an interdisciplinary, team-driven environment with a foundation in critical thinking and Catholic faith is ideal. Job Summary:
Inspiring students and promoting mastery in subject areas. Helping to develop and implement curriculum that is aligned with Wisconsin State Standards, Common Core Standards and Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards as they evolve. Providing continual assessment of student progress and maintaining records. Continually evaluating instructional performance to meet the needs of the students.
Qualifications:
A Theology teacher must meet the following criteria: Practicing Catholic A postsecondary degree in Catholic theology One of the following: State teacher license. Bachelor's degree with at least 12 semester hours of credit in teacher education from an accredited institution as part of, or in addition to, the degree. A teacher in need of up to 12 credit hours must submit a plan of study to the Archdiocese of Milwaukee Office for Schools by October 1 of the year of the initial contract for the position. The teacher will have three (3) years from the commencement date of the initial contract to complete the required credit hours. Bachelor's degree and an individualized plan of study to attain licensure/certification approved by the Archdiocese of Milwaukee Office for Schools. Basic Religious Education Certification (within three (3) years from the initial contract date) with continuing efforts toward Advanced certification
