Adjunct Professor of Humanities
POSITION SUMMARY
: Southeastern University invites applications and nominations for an Adjunct Professor qualified to teach undergraduate courses in western humanities. Candidates with a terminal degree and a specialization in history and the social sciences are preferred.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
: Teach courses in western humanities. Prepare/deliver lectures and grade assignments, primarily (but not exclusively) lectures and assignments. Respond to student e-mails and phone calls. Provide regular and timely feedback to students.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
: Earned an M.A. or Ph.D. in history, art history, or related field. Outstanding Christian character Positive recommendations from previous employers Evidence of successful experience teaching and mentoring at the collegiate level Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
